Proxy Chain stand for using several proxy servers in chain before you reach your final destination. More proxy server in chain and it will be harder to trace you back but your connection speed will be slower too. Another drawback is that if one proxy server during chaining process become unavailable then is chaining not possible.

Anonymous Proxy Server

Anonymous proxy is proxy servers which does modify the request.
It is proxy that does not spill your own ip address.
HTTP Header variable X_FORWARDED_FOR does not exist and it is not possible to see your own ip address however possible existence of other HTTP variables like HTTP_VIA, HTTP_Forwarded and HTTP_User_Agent_VIA can tell the web server that visitor is behind proxy.
These proxy are high recommended for anonymous surfing because they hide your own ip address.
